COVID-19 Vaccine FAQs:

Q. When is the Vaccine coming?

A. The COVID-19 Vaccine released in late 2020 for select groups and is now releasing in vaccination phases, as stated by the New Jersey Department of Health. Check to see if you qualify for Vaccine sign up based on the current phase at this time by visiting the DOH website.

Q. Who is eligible for the Vaccine ?

A. Right now, patients that are 18 years or older are able to get the COVID-19 Vaccine at AFC Urgent Care. If you have questions, call our clinic or consult the Department of Health.

Q. What are the policies for seniors?

A. Seniors are currently eligible to sign up for the Vaccine on the sign up portal under phase 1 and phase 2 designation. Seniors that live in nursing homes or have multiple comorbidities are eligible for the Vaccine as well.

Q. Is the Vaccine safe?

A. The COVID-19 Vaccine is the safest way to protect against the COVID virus. Misinformation on social media and other unverified sites can confuse patients, so it is important to consult with your local medical provider about Vaccine safety. Vaccines are the most effective way for communities to build herd immunity against many viruses and diseases.

Q. What do I need to do to get the Vaccine ?

A. Patients need to sign up through the DOH’s online portal if they qualify based on the current vaccination phase. We encourage all potential users to carefully read through each vaccination phase, according to the New Jersey Department of Health guidelines, before inquiring about the Vaccine.

AFC Urgent Care FAQs

  • What vaccinations do you offer in your clinics?

We offer a wide range of vaccinations for adults. Please call our center for additional information.

  • How do I know if I need a vaccine?

To discover which vaccinations you've received, look up your vaccination history. Your vaccination record is a comprehensive document that details the history of all of your vaccines as a youngster and as an adult. To access your vaccination record you can ask your family or doctor if they have your up to date report.

  • Is it safe to get my vaccinations from AFC instead of my regular doctor?

Yes, AFC offers several services that otherwise are made available only through an appointment at your doctor's office. Our Moderna COVID vaccine is by appointment only. However, we are able to provide many adult vaccines such as measles, mumps and rubella without appointment and are happy to provide you with proof of vaccination that may be shared with your primary care provider. Please call our center to learn more about the adult vaccines we offer.
